The NUTRITION MANAGEMENT ANALYSIS CONTRIBUTES TO INCREASING ASI PRODUCTION IN THE WORKING AREA OF THE BARA – BARAYA PUSKESMAS MAKASSAR CITY
Abstract
Breastfeeding is an optimal source of nutrition for most babies, the most important food that babies need is breast milk (ASI) because breast milk contains high nutrients that babies need during growth and development, in 2019, the majority (83.2 %) began to receive breast milk, and 24.9% received exclusive breast milk. The aim of this research is to analyze the nutritional management of breastfeeding mothers towards increasing breast milk production in the working area of the Baraya Health Center, Makassar City. Sampling used the Accidental Sampling technique, a total of 46 samples. Data collection used a questionnaire. The research results show that from 46 respondents, the results of the Wilcoxon statistical test obtained a p value = (0.028) <α (0.05), so the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted so it can be concluded that there is a relationship between nutritional management in breastfeeding mothers and increasing breast milk production. . Suggestions for health workers to play an active role in educating mothers to improve nutritional management.
