Analysis of the Quality of Midwifery Care For Mothers Giving Birth
Abstract
Indonesia is ranked 101 out of 149 countries where the quality of health service is still low, this can also be seen from the maternal and infant mortality rates which are still quite high, 50 % of the contributors to maternal mortality are during childbirth. With the importance of improving the health status of mothers and babies, the government released to provide trained health workesrs as birth attendants, in this case both midwives and doctors. So that if the helper is trained, then he can provide quality service in accordance with health service standards and patient needs. Midwifery care service standards serve as a reference for midwives to carry out their duties, function and roles in accordance with their competence and authority. This study aims to analyze the quality of midwifery care for mothers giving birth at the Cakung District Health Center, East Jakarta. The study used a qualitative approach with the method of in-depth interviewing, primary data obtained from the interview guidelines to 8 post partum mother informants and triangulated to Bidan and maternity room responsible using the interview guidance and observation sheet. The result of the study showed that Puskesmas Prefectureins the safety of patient., this can be seen from the effective and timely care of nurse, the service provided care centered on the patient, as well as always behave fairly to all patients, so it can be concluded that the district health facility at Cakung has provided quality care in accordance with the dimensions of quality of health services.
