Factors, Early detection, IVA Te FACTORS ASSOCIATED WITH EARLY DETECTION BEHAVIOR OF CERVICAL CANCER: A LITERATURE REVIEW
Abstract
Cervical cancer caused by Human Papillomavirus (HPV) remains a global health problem with a prevalence of 17.2% and a mortality rate of 9%. Early screening through Pap smear and VIA test plays an important role in the prevention and reduction of cervical cancer mortality. However, participation in screening is still low due to lack of awareness, limited access to health services, and fear of the diagnosis. This study aims to analyse the factors that influence cervical cancer early detection behaviour and barriers that hinder women's participation in screening programmes. Methods: This study used a literature study by searching Google Scholar and PubMed databases for articles published between 2020 and 2024. Results: the results of the review show that Factors associated ‘with behaviour’ of early detection of cervical cancer include knowledge, attitude factors, employment factors, education factors, family and husband support, age, the role of health workers and access to information, and Health workers and access to information, and socioeconomic and cultural factors Conclusion: the role of health workers and access to information is the most influential factor on cervical cancer early detection behaviour.
