PERILAKU SEKSUAL BERISIKO PADA REMAJA DI BOGOR, JAWA BARAT
Abstract
Background: Adolescence (ages 10-24) is a critical transition period from childhood to adulthood. According to data from WHO, there are over 500 million adolescents aged 10-14 worldwide, particularly in developing countries. In Indonesia, the percentage of unmarried adolescents aged 15-24 who have engaged in premarital sexual relations is 0.9%. In 2021, sexual behavior among adolescents in West Java indicated that a majority of adolescents had engaged in kissing (10.53%) and had sexual intercourse(3,09%). Objective: To determine the relationship between social media use, parental involvement, and peer influence with sexual behavior among adolescents at SMP “X” Bogor. Method: Quantitative research method using cross sectional design. Research data was taken using a questionnaire. The research sample was 178 respondents using simple random sampling technique. Data analysis used was univariate and bivariate analysis with chi square test. Results: This study reports that there was a relationship between social media and sexual behavior p value = 0.000, the role of parents with risky sexual behavior p value 0.025, and the role of peers with risky sexual behavior p value 0.010. Conclusion: There was a significant relationship between social media use, parental involvement, and peer influence with risky sexual behavior among adolescents at SMP “X” Bogor, West Java.
