Husband Support In The Success Of Early Breastfeeding Initiation (IMD): Literatur Review

Abstract

IMD or Early Breastfeeding Initiation is a breastfeeding process carried out immediately after birth, skin-to-skin contact between the skin of the mother and baby is carried out for 1 hour after birth which is very beneficial for both mother and baby if successfully carried out. But in reality there are factors that can affect the success and failure of IMD, one of which is the support factor, especially the support of the husband as a partner or the closest person to the birth mother. This study aims to determine how influential the relationship of husband support is in the success of IMD. To conduct this study, we filtered 2,000 journals into 6 articles used through Google Scholar searches. The results of this study show that successful IMD can be influenced by support factors, both family support and husband support with the result that husband support is an influential support in successful IMD.

Untuk itu perlu adanya kerjasama antara ibu, suami, maupun tenaga kesehatan yang bertugas dalam menyampaikan informasi kepada suami, tentang pentingnya peran dan dukungan suami dalam membantu keberhasilan IMD sehingga suami tidak lagi beranggapan bahwa menyusui dan mengurus anak hanyalah tanggung jawab seorang ibu, tetapi tanggung jawab yang diberikan bersama.
